This package is usually intended for laymen and students. As the name of the package suggests, it is intended for users who are running their computer at home. However, there will still be 32-bit and 64-bit versions of it. One last note about Office 2019 before getting into the basics: Unlike previous versions of the perpetual version of Office, it only works on Windows 10. Microsoft 365, on the other hand, comes with 1TB of free storage and you can easily edit all your files online. However, Office 2019 doesn`t have storage space in OneDrive, and you don`t have access to online versions of apps like Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Both suites offer access to OneDrive, Microsoft`s cloud storage service. The biggest difference between Microsoft 365 and Office 2019 is how they connect to the cloud.
It`s clear that Microsoft wants to kill the eternal version of Office, but enough people and companies still want it that there is no practical way for Microsoft to do it. If it seems like you`re getting a lot more value with Office 365 than with Office 2019, it`s no coincidence. The main difference between these two editions is that Outlook 2019 is included in Home & Business 2019, while it is not included in Home & Student 2019.
